League standings change

I’ve received emails asking for adjustments to the way we build the league standings.

As of now, standings are based solely on the total points each member earns, which makes leagues with fewer players harder to compete in. The number of players should matter, but not to the extent it does today.

I’ll share one of the suggestions below, but if you have other ideas, please respond so we can vote on them. The most popular option will be implemented.

 One of the suggestions is:

Instead of ranking based on total league points, perhaps it would be more fair and equal to do it by the player-per-player ratio within the league.
So, if a league has 3 participants and a score of 500, this would result in a final score ratio of 166.66.
And if a league had 23 participants and a total score of 3,200 points, it would result in a ratio of 139.13.

I like your suggestion of averaging the points based on the amount of people in each league. Just wondered where this change sits in the priority of updates? No pressure, just looking forward to it.

Here is alternative or combination of the different ideas, released in the Formula 2 version of the game. https://f2.gpfantasygame.com/rules

In short:

1. A league's score is the average points of its 3 best-performing teams - not the whole roster. This rewards genuine strength over sheer league size.
2. If two leagues tie on Top 3 Average, the tiebreaker is combined points across all of each league's teams, not just the top 3.
3. Still tied after that? The league with more teams takes the higher spot.
